The igus® plain bearings range includes sleeve bearings, flange bearings, thrust washers, piston rings, clip-on plain bearings and many other designs. iglidur® plain bearings always offer a solution – either from the catalogue range or as custom-made plain bearing special solution. No minimum quantity! iglidur® bearings are suitable for all moving applications - from automotive mass production and special mechanical engineering, from underwater applications to the food or tobacco industry, for resistance to extreme temperatures and chemicals and for simple sheet-metal bushings.

igubal® spherical bearings and pillow block bearings are self-aligning bearing elements completely made from plastics. The split and self-aligning pillow block bearings are easy to assemble, adjust to all angular variances, and in many cases were already able to replace special housings. The igubal® user utilizes all advantages of the employed high performance plastics. They have excellent vibration dampening properties, and are technically applicable in dry operation. They are insensitive to dirt, can operate in liquids and even in chemicals and are completely resistant to corrosion. The weight of igubal® parts is up to 80 % lower than for comparable competitive parts made from steel.

iglidur® PRT slewing ring bearing
iglidur® PRT slewing ring bearings are ready-to-install slewing rings for lubrication-free dry running. The design is not based on metal rollers or balls but on maintenance-free sliding elements made of the proven tribologically optimised iglidur materials in combination with rings made of lightweight anodised aluminium or stainless steel. iglidur materials can be employed universally and enable use in applications involving high temperatures, moisture or contact with chemicals as well as in the food industry.
xiros® polymer ball bearings
xiros polymer ball bearings to DIN 625 do not need any external lubrication, are corrosion-resistant (if glass or plastic balls are used) and, during operation, are extremely quiet. This makes them a cost-effective alternative to metal ball bearings. Made from a mixture of tribo-polymers, the iglidur material plastic components are light, resistant to chemicals and non-magnetic. This ensures that they can be used safely in the areas of medicine, packaging, food processing, drive technology and other industries. The polymer ball bearings not only cost up to 40% less but are also 60% lighter than their equivalent made of metal. They also help to ensure a long, low-maintenance machine life. The reason is that xiros® ball bearings enable dry, low-friction operation without a single drop of lubricating oil.
